In partnership with State Departments of Correction. Identify men with misdemeanors and with an aspiration to teach and can acquire a teacher’s license.
Man Up Teacher Fellowship is committed to reversing the school to prison pipeline by recruiting training and supporting minority men with misdemeanor charges that will not prevent them from earning a teaching license. In partnership with State Departments of Corrections and partner colleges and universities, Man Up Teacher Fellowship will train and support these fellows through college into the classroom.
Once program requirements are complete and state licensure requirements are met, Man Up Teacher Fellowship will assist graduates with job placement and provide ongoing coaching and support for up to three years.
