Why Man Up?
The enormous amount of data that suggests a need for more effective male teachers of color in our schools is the propeller behind this movement.Man Up Teacher Fellowship’s purpose is to provide a talent pipeline of men of color who can be impactful in any school setting and will work relentlessly to ensure the success of all students. Man Up Teacher Fellows will have an opportunity to earn a Master’s of Education degree from Mississippi State University or Relay Graduate School at no cost. Additionally, Man Up Teacher Fellows will earn an additional $5,000 per year in addition to their salary for up to three years.
