Man Up Teacher Fellowship is a non-profit organization with the mission to provide students in high poverty, urban and rural communities, particularly male students of color, access to high quality male teachers and advancing policies that promote equity in K – 12 schools.
“Man Up” is a phrase that has several meanings. Most often the term is used to suggest that one should “rise to the occasion to complete a task, to take care of one’s responsibilities, or to be brave or tough enough to deal with an unpleasant situation” (McMillian, 2013).

Men who are accepted into the Graduate Lane will earn a tuition-free Masters of Education degree.
Man Up Teacher Fellows in the Graduate Lane must commit to teaching for at least five years.
